A very awesome book cover, great font & writing style. A very well written murder mystery book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great murder mystery movie, or better yet a mini TV series. A very easy rating of 5 stars.

Rhondeau has an exquisite talent for creating compelling characters that readers can genuinely care about. Add that to the impeccable pacing, and what you get is a book that will pull you in from the first page and hold you until the end. This story has just enough romance to inspire readers to create a bond with Lilly and Zach, and just enough suspense to compel readers to keep turning the pages. I meant to read a chapter or two and save the rest for later, but once I started reading,... . Always and Forever is the perfect blend of romance and suspense. It is a cover-to-cover read that will leave readers pleasantly fulfilled.
Lily is a heroine you'll love to cheer for. An abused woman, she runs from an unjust accusation to start a new life as a companion to a wealthy matriarch, one who just happens to have an unhappy hunk of a grandson.
Their love story begins with deception and through many trials, excitement and danger, ends with trust. Zach is a hero any woman would want to take home. Several times when I was reading the book, I screamed at Lily. "If you don't want him, send him to me!" He was considerate and caring, always thinking of what would be good for Lilly. He was also quick to forgive her and understood her issues, dealing with low self-esteem and guilt.
The warning is spot on. If you enjoy a bit of steam, this book's for you. Zach and Lilly know how to enjoy each other thoroughly despite the danger at their door. 5 stars and a bang-up debut for a new author!
Always & Forever is a fast paced, exciting read. Amazing first book Chantel, I look forward to your future novels with anticipation.
This story sucks you right in and keeps you guessing until the very end. The love story between Lily and Zach was great. Lots of sizzle and romance with the perfect amount of passion. This story has it all and will keep you happily engrossed from the beginning to the end. I highly recommend this book!
Great twists and turns! A murder, mystery, romance plot line anchored with everyday people and of course a few psychopaths to make this book an interesting read. I usually have these books figured out by half way....not this one....I couldn't pin down just who the killer really was. I liked Lilly but felt she was a bit weak for my tastes...yes she was abused, yes public opinion convicted her, yes she was financially destroyed but through it all she survives....I just felt the author should have focused a bit more on her very distinct survivor instinct. For those who have suffered spousal abuse then you know that the fight to get free makes you a very strong individual....Lilly was at the end but some of her choices were suspect given her history.
Lilly changed her name to her middle name and moved across the country yo start anew after being accused of murdering her fiancé. She goes to work for a older rich lady as her assistant. She understood the rich growing up that way. Zach is Mrs. Woodworth grandson and she believes they belong together. She knows about Lilly's past, but Lilly doesn't know she foes. It gets worse when Lilly get a stalker. There are s lot of twist a and turns but a lovely story.
I love a book that grabs you from the beginning and begs you to finish it in one sitting. This book did not disappoint me! The main characters are endearing and the story line is intriguing. If you are someone who enjoys reading a romance with an exciting, mysterious plot, this is a book you will want to read.
Without spoiling, the title is not what you think it is...and that made for a chilling moment in the book. This romance/murder mystery packs a big punch. There is a LOT of book for the money.
Some of the villains were kind of over the top, as was mentioned in some other reviews. I couldn't decide if I liked that or not. In some ways, it's good to have a villain you love to hate. In other ways, it might not be as realistic.
But why do we read romances? For reality? Or to escape reality!
There were a few plot issues related to choices the heroine made that seemed like it was pushing the realm of possibility. But I liked how she had a flaw and that the love interest loved her regardless. The love interest sounded handsome and smart and kind, just the kind of companion we all want to have.
If you're looking for a long love story, this fits the bill just fine.
